Vintage styled Telecaster in Black

The Fender Limited edition ’72 Telecaster Deluxe, adding to the breadth of already successful “Roadworn” Series available in Black or Olympic White bearing all the scars of a true hero.

The FSR Roadworn 72 Telecaster Deluxe bears all the features (and scars) of an original 72 Tele Deluxe, right down to the unique 3-ply scratchplate, vintage hardtail bridge, vintage tuning machines and skirted knobs. Aged to make it look like it has survived 40 years of “playing in”, it has an alder body finished with nitro-cellulose lacquer, Fender Wide Range humbuckers, a 21-fret maple neck with medium-jumbo frets and the familiar “bullet” truss rod nut exposed just below the jumbo 70s style headstock. It is available in Black or Olympic White.

Fender released the Roadworn range in early 2009, consisting mainly of relic’d (“Roadworn”) models of 50s and 60s reissues. The unique styling and fat sound of the 72 Deluxe Telecaster are definitely a welcome addition to it.
