Designed with the serious bass player in mind and with the full benefit of thier insight gained from years of valve experience, the VBA400 has the massive tonal power of 8x 6550 power valves, plus 3x ECC83 and 1x ECC82 pre-amp valves. To make the most of the masses of pure valve power, the minimum of front panel controls have been incorporated, but the three band passive EQ offers the player plenty of scope for tonal adjustment, particularly when reconfigured using the 3 position "Contour" control. Another very useful feature is the "Tuner Mute" facility which mutes the signal both to the loudspeakers and to the DI for silent tuning between songs.
