RME Fireface UCX offers a highly integrated pro audio solution featuring an ultra-compact format ideal for studio and live applications. RME Fireface UCX sets a new record for space-usage with 300 components more than in the already well-stocked Fireface UC. Fireface-UCX includes the latest technology introduced in the multi-award winning flagship Fireface UFX as well as some new innovations into a half 19" housing for mobile usability. 

Exceptional Sound Quality and Low Latency Design
Impressive 115dBA dynamic range and excellent S/N and THD specs. Incredible low latency convertor design - 14 samples for the ADC and 7 samples for the DAC! This is about a quarter of the values from the Fireface UC/400 (43 ADC/28 DAC). 

Hammerfall X-Core
RME are the only manufacturer not to use third-party USB or FireWire technology, but their own self-developed Hammerfall Audio Core - allowing for outstanding performance and reliability. Hammerfall X-Core combines USB and FireWire with two firmwares, customised for Windows and Mac OS separately to achieve the best possible performance.

Class Compliant Mode
The Fireface UCX is the first professional audio interface to include a class compliant mode allowing it to work with Apple's iPad and iPad2. The UCX gives the iPad the professional analogue I/O it lacks. Superb preamps, balanced line outputs and a hi-power headphone output. Plus level adjustment, reverb, echo, EQ, dynamics and zero latency monitoring. All digitally via USB with no limitation in quality.

Totalmix FX
The Fireface UCX provides the complete DSP based effects engine of the Fireface UFX. Plus all the powerful mixing, routing and monitoring capabilities.
