Rode NT2-A description

Studio Condenser Microphone

The legendary Rode NT2 is the 'tone' behind countless recording hits of the last decade. Having sold in their hundreds of-thousands throughout the world, the Rode NT2 became a modern legend amongst leading musicians and engineers. To create a worthy successor to this legend took time, commitment and a clear focus on the needs of the audio professional.

When Rode started the NT-2A project, they had one aim: to build the definitive F.E.T. studio mic.

Starting with the heart of all great mics; The Capsule

Rode wanted to use something special, and there was only one choice, the Australian designed and manufactured HF1 dual diaphragm capsule, the very same transducer at the heart of their internationally acclaimed and multi award winning valve microphone, the K2.

Describing sound quality is always difficult, but the Rode NT2-A oozes character. With one of the lowest self-noise specs in the industry, we have created a microphone that is capable of capturing the subtleties of voice and instrument alike, without adding any of the undesirable artifacts found in lesser designs.

Of course, like all RODE microphones the NT2-A incorporates the finest electronics and engineering technologies available. Utilizing computer controlled surface mount electronic assembly ensures accuracy and dependability. The microphone housing is acoustically modelled and formed of solid cast metal, polished, bead blasted and nickel plated; all of which ensures your investment lasts a lifetime.Words are easy; let the Rode NT2-A speak for itself. You will be convinced it is a worthy successor and a legend in the making
