Entry-Level USB Audio Interface
Steinberg CI1 is part of the new CI series and includes Sequel LE and WaveLab LE 7. CI1 is ideal for the entry-level customer, delivering plug and play audio recording and production. It combines high-quality audio hardware built by and designed together with Yamaha with two light editions of Steinberg’s popular audio software applications. The CI1 audio interface provides two mic preamps with +48 V phantom power, two mic/line inputs, one of which switches to Hi-Z. Simply put, CI1, Sequel LE and WaveLab LE 7 boast great easy-to-use features at a very good price/value ratio.
Steinberg CI-1 is a USB-powered audio interface that, together with Sequel LE and WaveLab LE 7, provides a complete system for recording and editing vocals and instruments on a computer in next-to-no time. With 24-bit resolution and a sampling rate of 48 kHz, the CI-1 delivers a professional digital audio recording standard that allows users to record their music in studio quality. Powered solely by USB, users can record music through the CI1 whenever and wherever they please, without being forced to find a mains outlet first. Simply plug the CI1 into a notebook, connect a microphone or guitar to the CI1 and start jamming right away. The CI 1 provides two fantastic-sounding microphone inputs comprising balanced XLR/TRS combo connectors and highquality microphone preamps. With onboard phantom power, the user can record at home or on the move using just about any microphone. And it just gets better: the first input channel comes with a dedicated high-impedance switch, letting the user jack an electric guitar or bass directly into the CI1.

- USB -powered
The CI1 is powered by a computer’s USB. And by simply connecting the CI-1 to a USB port the user gets immediate full control of Cubase. Even the +48 V phantom power of the two microphone doesn’t require an additional power supply. With the CI1 being fully USB-powered, it’s no problem to record music whenever and wherever without having to find a mains outlet. The user can simply plug the CI1 into a notebook, connect a microphone or guitar and start jamming on the spot.

The CI1 provides two fantastic-sounding microphone inputs comprising balanced XLR/jack combo connectors and high-quality microphone preamps, each equipped with individual gain control and a Peak LED. With the onboard +48 V phantom power, the user can record at home or on the move using just about any dynamic or condenser microphone.
- Direct connection of guitars
The first input channel comes with a dedicated high-impedance switch, letting the user jack an electric guitar or bass directly into the CI1 via the XLR/jack combo input.

- Hardware latency-free monitoring
The Mono button on the CI1 allows analog inputs 1 and 2 to be used either as separate mono channels or as a stereo pair feeding just one side (L/R) of the monitor outs. With the Mix level control, the user can adjust the balance between the input signal and the playback signal from the software application, so that the input signal can be monitored without any latency.
- Individual master level and phones level
The Line outputs of the CI1 are equipped with balanced TRS connectors, providing professional output studio connectivity. The Phones output is also equipped with a professional 6.3 mm TRS connector. The signal levels of the Master outputs and the Phones output can be adjusted independently. The headphones signal is not affected by the Master volume control.
- Optional accessories
The optional mic stand adapter BMS-10A allow the user to attach the CI1 to a microphone stand and adjust it to a position that fits to his/her personal needs.
