Yamaha CLP-470 Rosewood is a Yamaha Clavinova with Real Grand Expression (RGE) combining sound, touch and pedals that are perfectly integrated to give you the sensation of playing a grand piano. Yamaha CLP470 Clavinova Rosewood has a full sized 88-key weighted keyboard, with linear graded hammer action. Unlike many of its counterparts, the Yamaha CLP470 has solid wooden keys overlaid with a synthetic ivory coating, replicating the touch and weightiness of a non-electric keyboard. With a maximum polyphony of 256 notes, the model boasts the expressive capability of a concert grand at only a fraction of the cost and space required.

The RGE Sound Engine in the CLP-470 produces an authentic touch response and expressive sound quality that makes this model a delight to play whilst delivering a rich sound by the speakers. An authentic playing experience is assured by the four modes of touch sensitivity (hard, medium, soft, fixed) and the linear graded hammer action, mimicking the weightier touch of the lower registers. A Clavinova has many piano voices so that you can select the type of piano best suited to the musical genre you wish to play. In addition to acoustic pianos, you can enjoy the sound of electric pianos, including a Yamaha CP1 stage piano. Other instrument voices including classical organ, harpsichord and guitar are available while dual voice enables two sounds, for example piano and strings, to be combined giving the opportunity to play a wide variety of music. By combining the voices in various ways the Yamaha CLP470 lets you enjoy many different styles of play. Two recording functions can be used selectively according to your purpose, recording through the clavinova or to a USB memory device. The Panel Reveal Key Cover lets you perform with all signs of technology on the control panel discreetly hidden.

The Intelligent Acoustic Control provides a full, balanced sound with rich lows and clear highs even at low volume. One of the joys of a Clavinova is that the volume can be adjusted to avoid disturbing others. However, playing at low volumes can make it difficult to hear bass and treble. The Intelligent Acoustic Control function automatically adjusts the sound and the volume control makes fine adjustments to the speaker system, ensuring that you can always enjoy the utmost sound quality even at low volumes.
