With 33% higher power output than its predecessor model, the dB Technologies OPERA 402 D delivers even more performance in an even lighter package. Digital bi-amping
All the new OPERA DIGITAL series models feature ultra efficient digipro® digital power amps engineered to deliver higher performance in a lighter package with a smaller footprint.

What’s more, all power amps sport two separate, dedicated channels for the woofer and tweeter as well as an active crossover. This design ensures far more accurate and authentic midrange response.

OPERA DIGITAL systems pump out even more power. At 400 watts RMS, the improved 400 series models’ output is 33% higher, while the brand new 600 series models deliver 600 watts RMS. All this adds up to greater sound pressure, more dynamic response, and even more powerful low-end punch.

Switching power supply (SMPS)
To further reduce weight and power consumption, we equipped the 400 and 600 series models with highly efficient switched-mode power supplies. Another great advantage of these units in live applications is that they are far less sensitive to fluctuating feed voltages.

Dual active limiter
Compact active enclosures are often driven at or near their limits for hours on end. The OPERA DIGITAL series sports two limiter stages, one at the analog and the other at the digital level. They ensure exceptionally reliable performance and uniform response even at peak loads.

New high-performance transducer
These speakers’ new highly efficient components translate the digital amps’ power output into high sound pressure levels and an excellent audio experience all around. Digital Sound Processor
All models come with a powerful DSP. Serving as an active crossover and controller, it splits and limits signal and aligns phases and delay times. Best of all, it even enables dBTechnologies engineers to fine-tune the enclosures for the most balanced response. It is this perfect balance that ensures your signals - speech, playback tracks, and live music – are rendered accurately and articulately. And that makes the OPERA DIGITAL a real all-rounder for every sound reinforcement challenge.

Low-Noise-Reflex-Ports
The new OPERA DIGITAL 402D series’ enlarged bass reflex apertures are about more than merely stylish looks. They cut annoying wind noise by up to 50% and deliver enhanced, extremely tight and focused bass response.

Reduced weight
An OPERA DIGITAL 402D system weighs less and is thus easier to transport and handle, which makes your life a whole lot simpler. Earlier OPERA models were already remarkably light, but this new combination of the latest technology - digital power amps, switched-mode power supplies, and neodymium loudspeakers - slashes weight by another 35%.
